Kingsboro Golf Club first opened for play in 1932.
The Kingsboro Golf Club Golf Course has a scenic view of the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains. There is a creek that flows through the course and comes into play on a couple of holes. There are two hills that affect some fairways, but most of the fairways are level.
The Kingsboro Golf Club Golf Course plays to a 9-hole par-37 and 3,050 yards from the back tees and 2,910 yards from the forward tees. A second tee position on each hole is available for those who want to play a double loop 18-hole round.
Golfers have reported that sharing of clubs has been known to get you thrown off the course.

The course is marginal at best. Although I have played Kingsboro a few times, it really is just for convenince and to get in a quick mid-week practice round. As i have said I have played the course a few times but never again.
I had a terrible experience at this dog track. I brought a friend along who thought he might like to try playing golf. We went mid-day, mid-week. Not having any clubs I let him borrow mine. I was hassled by one of the only other golfers on the course about it, to the point where i could not take it anymore and finally said "Buzz off" or a variation thereoff. He went to the office and told the receptionist and had us removed from the course. No refund was made. We had only played 3 holes. Never again.
Yes I know the rules, but when stupidity trumps reason, and you are doing the course a favor playing at their tract, their actions and that of the busy body golfer brought great discredit upon themselves. What a miserable experience. Pretty sure my friend will not be takeing up the game.

My husband and I always played this course once a week because it was an enjoyable course to play and not too expensive. We had owned a place in Bleecker and came up here in the summer. We usually played another course as a second one for that week such as Nick Stoners or Alban Hills.
Since it was summer we usually met high school students from Gloversville High School practicing on the course. They were always respectful and nice. We always had good experiences with fellow golfers at Kingsbo
When I played it last week the course had changed very little since my husband and I played it over a decade ago. I did notice that a lot of their trees had died of some sort of blight which saddened me because those trees had given it some great ambience. Now dead and not removed they detracted from the course's ambiance. This is the only negative that I can give the course.
I would say that it is a nice place to play. There are holes that will give you a little challenge such as the first/ ninth with its steep hill up to the green, the fourth/thirteenth with its creek running across the fairway and its undulating green, the little par three eighth/seventeenth hole with its extremely steep green or the ninth/ eighteenth from which you cannot see the green either at the tee box or the fairway since it so steep to that green.
It is a fun course to play.
